After showing my first projects in class, I realized that I did not like the turquoise outlining that was behind the lettering and that I wanted to change the display font to something more fitt

Before: After: Within this project, we were tasked with creating a limited menu for a small local restaurant of our choice. I chose Ten West, which is a small diner in Orange, Texas. After presenting my first menu, I received feedback on consistency and spacing. So, when redoing my menu, I ensured that the spacing between menu items was smaller without them being too close together. I also made all menu items the same font size to maintain consistency.

For this assignment, we were provided multiple magazines and tasked with utilizing cutouts from the magazines to create a punk flier. I got majority of my letters and the truck from various magazines. I drew in images that I could not find in magazines, but if I redid this, I would search more for magazines fitting the theme I was going for to remove the need for hand-drawn images.

Before: After: For this project, we were provided images and body copy to lay out into a magazine spread. After presenting my first layout, I was given critiques on having the pages not side-by-side, the lack of columns in my copy on the first page, and the typefaces of my headline and pull quote. I took those critiques and then laid both pages out together. I switched the seal and sharks image to ensure that neither was looking off the page, and I took out a bit of the blank

After discussing my project in class, I received feedback on the size of my citations, a few discrepancies in spacing and the top right panel, which has "suicide" bolded instead of the statistic like the other panels. Before: After: For our first project in Desktop Publishing, we were tasked to create a logo depicting two different words. The image above was my first attempt, and I received feedback on the differing art styles of the mirror and the body. I then took that feedback, and created the logo below, ensuring that the art styles matched to keep the logo concise. This logo was submitted in a secondary assignment to make the logo black and white.
