Project: Lay Out a Magazine Spread

For this project, we were provided images and body copy to lay out into a magazine spread. After presenting my first layout, I was given critiques on having the pages not side-by-side, the lack of columns in my copy on the first page, and the typefaces of my headline and pull quote. I took those critiques and then laid both pages out together. I switched the seal and sharks image to ensure that neither was looking off the page, and I took out a bit of the blank space in the orchestra photo. I added a byline, and changed the fonts of my headline and pull quote. The main critique I still have for myself is the lack of cutlines under the photo, so I would still make that change.
